What is water based nail polish?

Our PIGGY PAINTS are water based. What does that mean? It means that we use water as the base of the nail polish instead of oil or some other solvent. In fact our Piggy Paints are made with 75% water!

Water based is best
Water based nail polishes are a healthier option for you and the environment. But Why?
Well… it’s because water-based nail polishes are NOT flammable, making it safer to use and ship. Traditional polishes cant be used near an open flame.
Also, the chemical solvents in regular nail polish give the polish an unpleasant and potentially toxic smell. Water-based nail polish, on the other hand, has very little smell.
